Services Offered by HDR

All suspension services are done in-house at HDR.

MX-Tech Fork and Shock rebuild — $99.00

The most important service we offer. Our rebuild is complete, thorough and the base point for all our service offerings. Before work has started everything is given a good cleaning then completely disassembled and cleaned, inspected and measured for wear. All fork tubes and shock shafts are polished on our lathe with a three step process. Minor imperfections and burns are removed, and your forks move with reduced friction and seal life is prolonged. You will notice improved performance and less fade. As an incentive for maximizing your suspension investment, HDR always updates suspension that has been previously valved to the latest specifications. As technology advances, you can continue to take advantage of our research. You will not find a more thorough rebuild anywhere.

MX-Tech Revalving. (Forks: KYB, SHOWA, WP Shocks: KYB, SHOWA) — $259.00

MX-Tech revalving allows you to get the maximum control and comfort from your suspension by tuning all components of the system to produce effective and balanced change. We completely service your components as listed above in the rebuild description only we reassemble your suspension with our exclusive revalving technology specifically designed according to your weight, height, riding style ability and terrain. Clickers are set at a starting point and a tuning guide along with a specification sheet is included.

MX-TECH E7 for Showa and KYB Forks — $599.00

Our most recent technology adaptation for Showa and KYB forks. The Element 7uses a gas charged bladder for the cartridge that reduces the compounding forces of spring, air spring and friction common to the Showa and KYB TC forks. TheE7 is the ultimate set-up for those looking for the advantages of a purely speed sensitive set-up. Plush, and controlled, with out making the fork mushy.

MX-TECH CLP Revalving for WP PDS SHOCKS (Big bike and the 85-105) — $449.00

Our CLP PDS revalve is legendary for its reputation as transforming KTM WP PDS shocks into the best handling bikes on the track. Eliminating the Typical issues surrounding the KTM and making it feel like a linkage system.

Breaking bumps, whoops, and jumps no longer need to be feared. Recently we added a new platform valve that increases low-speed compression improving chassis stability and increasing square edge compliance. Our system is the best solution for the KTM, having outperformed all other solutions including the Ohlins TTX series shock.

MX-TECH Lowering Services — Price Varies

At MX-TECH we use our exclusive CNC billet aluminum spacers with DU bushings for the fork limiters, and Nylon shock spacers. This guarantees smooth action and performance with no long-term issues with wear. All MX-TECH lowering services are fully reversible. Commonly used for the vertically challenged, Supermoto, and DTX. While revalving is possible for bike lowering, we prefer not to lower and revalve suspension at the same time.

We recommend lowering and chassis adjustments separate from performance work unless you're getting your DTX bike set-up, for supermoto.

DLC Fork Coating — $699.00

DLC is the best fork coating available for your bike. It makes the fork surface very hard and reduces friction. This improves performance, and increases longevity.

HDR Turn Key — $8.50

HDR will ship our specially manufactured carton to your door, making the suspension service much more convenient. You will need to pay for the shipping and place a deposit with a credit card.

Betty65 Cartridge Kit — $1199.00
Installation — $90.00

The Betty 65 is a complete cartridge assembly for the KTM 65, KX65 and it will also will fit many pit bikes. These forks will transform mini MX, adult pit bike and mini supermoto. They are all about the details and quality you cannot find anywhere else. The Betty’s are not inexpensive, but you will not be wasting your money on marginal improvements, and patches to bad engineering offered by our competitors. You will get the best fork, works quality, performance and most importantly safety you can't rival anywhere else.

The fork comes with choice of fork cap color. Red or Gold. A kit consists of 2 cartridges and caps, valved and ready to install or we can install them for you. Each Betty is given a serial number during assembly so we can catalog and track the fork over time. Each Betty can be custom valved, and this will be included in all HDR installed units. The fork uses 6mm, and 8mm ID shims. The fork was designed to be simple and easy to service.

The Betty features 22 clicks of rebound adjustment and also compression adjustment on each fork. The adjusters both compression and rebound are made of stainless steel. We went out of our way to use the highest quality materials, but here is a case of a little extra weight going a long way. How many times has Dad or a tuner in the haste of making adjustments notched out a soft aluminum adjuster? It happens. We solved that with a little extra strength in the right place. (Not that many other 65's have adjusters to start with!)

The underside of the Betty Cap is machined out to accept a longer fork spring and also a low friction spring bearing. The Betty also features a long hydraulic stop with floating check valve. The bottom cone is tapered over its length to provide a gentle controlled stop.

The Betty Base Valves are a v-3 design featuring a large port area, low lag check plate and a special passive bleed stack. The shim settings for the compression, rebound, midlevel and passive bleed are 100% scalable for any use. The pressure balance of the design is superb, and the clickers make substantial changes without the typical significant increase in hysteresis.
